I first saw Sass Jordan in 1989, when Cheap Trick brought her out partway through their set. I knew her from The Box, so I was in no way ready for the loud, rocking turnabout. I don’t think anyone was.

Mike remembers. Mid-February, one of the coldest nights going (or it felt that way, two months home from Iran/Iraq), Mike decides to give her his Airborne t-shirt. God bless her, she put it on, much to Mike’s glee. That made for a two-hour ride home wrapped in donated clothes.

Small memory, and thanks for that, Sass.
